The Bio-Locaux des Cantons-de-l'Est (BLC) project is a group of 17 Estrie farms that unite in fall and winter to offer organic and local vegetable baskets to their regional communities, from November to May. They thus offer Estrie food lovers the opportunity to eat Quebec products grown by local and 100% organic farms year-round.

The project was born in 2022 for its first winter season. Building on this success, the farms restart each year with an ever-growing community. Here's an overview of the participating farms:

Winter vegetables for sure!
All basket products are certified organic by Ecocert or Québec Vrai (depending on the farm); grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers; coming directly from farms in your region;
Colorful & diversified vegetables for sure!
You'll find winter vegetables but also a great diversity of green and crunchy products! Your Estrie farmers, thanks to new techniques that extend seasons, can produce greens, bok choy, spinach, and mesclun in cold or minimally heated greenhouses all winter. In addition to vegetables, you can enhance your basket thanks to our network of local producers with small fruits, bread, organic and local eggs... A truly fresh, simple and complete delight. Here are some vegetables present in baskets as well as extras available through additional orders.

Local organic winter baskets are colorful and diverse!
Carrots, Potatoes, Onions, Beets, Parsnips, Cabbage, Celeriac, Rutabaga, Daikon radish, Watermelon radish, Jerusalem artichoke, Zucchini, Chinese cabbage, Kohlrabi, Fennel, Summer turnip, Sweet potato, Garlic, Celery stalks, Brussels sprouts, Greenhouse cucumber, Ginger & Frozen ginger, Apple juice, Kale, Lacto-fermented products, Legumes, Green onion, Parsley or cilantro, Leeks, Bunched radish, Bunched turnip greens, Herbal tea, Spinach, Sprouts, Bok choy, and Mixed greens.
You can also add complementary products to your subscription:
Fruits: apples, blueberries, honeyberries, sea buckthorn ;
Oeufs: one or two dozen ;
Organic staples: flours, oil, legumes, lacto-fermented products ;
Breads: products from Le Banneton bakery!
How do Bio-Locaux des Cantons winter vegetable baskets work?
We offer two basket formulas delivered twice monthly - every 2 weeks
Small : 39 $ / basket - every two weeks
Grand: 56 $ / basket - every two weeks
In your basket, there's both a fixed part and a variable part where you can make choices.
The week before delivery, you're informed via newsletter about basket composition, fixed vegetables, and choices that will be offered.
Where do we pick up our basket?

When you sign up, you choose your preferred delivery point for the season! If you need to change delivery points during the season or for a delivery, this function is accessible in the client portal!

- Choose the size of your basket, and if you wish to receive complementary products and in what quantity;
- Enter your contact information and choose your payment method;
- Process payment and mark the date of your first basket on your calendar
