Turnkey eco-friendly fundraising campaigns!
The Family Farmers Network (RFF) invites you to raise funds for your institution’s projects by collaborating with a local farm.
ALREADY 10 YEARS!
Initiated by Équiterre in 2016, the Rooted Schools project was taken over by RFF producers in 2022. Each year, more than 100 institutions (elementary and secondary schools, childcare services and early childhood centres) participate in the project by choosing to sell vegetable plants in the spring and/or vegetable baskets in the fall.
These are just as many school projects funded: educational gardens, cooking workshops, schoolyard improvement projects, educational activities and teaching materials! In addition to supporting local organic farms, our campaigns promote healthy eating among youth and foster the development of their food literacy
Spring Campaign – Vegetable plant sale
What: Organic vegetable plants
Registration: January to late February
Plant sales: Last 3 weeks of March
Delivery of plants to your institution: Mid-May to early June
Fall Campaign – Organic vegetable sale
What: Local, organic vegetable baskets
Registration: Until June 15 in preparation for the following fall
Basket sales: September to November (3 weeks)
Delivery of baskets to your institution: October to November
