Today, the Network brings together more than 115 organic farms in Quebec and New Brunswick, feeding more than 17,000 families every year, as well as numerous partners who provide convenient basket pickup locations.
A brief history of our organic baskets in Quebec!
Created by Équiterre in 1996 based on the principles of community-supported agriculture (CSA), the Family Farmers Network had 7 farms and 250 families in Quebec when it launched in 1996. Today, the Network includes more than 115 organic farms in Quebec and New Brunswick, which feed more than17,000 families each year with organic baskets! ORGANIC VEGETABLE PLANT SALE – 2026 EDITION!
Are you planning to grow your own vegetables to complement your organic basket? Do you want to discover the joy of cultivating your own food and cooking with produce straight from the garden? Who better to supply you with beautiful organic vegetable plants than your own family farmers? Throughout the month of May, farms are opening their doors for plant sales!

The good news is that many of our farmers have farm stands at the farm or in public markets and farmers’ markets across Quebec and New-Brunswick.
Schools take root
Schools Take Root is an innovative fundraising campaign and a unique opportunity to educate young people and their families about healthy, local and eco-responsible food: the sale of baskets of organic vegetables produced by the Family Farmers Network farms to fund projects for schools, daycare centers and CPEs or community organizations.
