Innovative and eco-friendly fundraising campaigns!
The Family Farmers Network (FFN) invites you to run a fundraising campaign in partnership with a farm near your school! Raise funds for your school's projects by selling vegetable baskets in the fall or seedlings in the spring!
In addition to supporting local organic farms, our campaigns promote the importance of healthy nutrition among young people and foster the development of their food literacy skills.
ALREADY 9 YEARS OLD!
Initiated and carried by Equiterre since 2016, the Schools Take Root project passed into the hands of the producers in 2022. Since its foundation, more than 223 establishments across Quebec (primary and secondary schools, daycare services, CPEs and others) have participated in the project, in partnership with 58 farms of our Network. With more than 500 campaigns under their belts, these establishments have raised close to $400,000 to finance educational gardens, culinary workshops, schoolyard development projects, educational activities and teaching materials, among other things.
This year, more than a hundred establishments across Quebec will be conducting such a campaign to finance their activities. Join them!
Fall campaigns
What: Organic and local vegetable baskets
Registration: April 1 to June 21, 2024
Basket sales: September to November 2024 ( plan at least 3 weeks)
Delivery of baskets to your establishment: October to November 2024
Spring campaigns
What: Organic and local vegetable plants
Registrations: January 1 to February 23, 2024
Basket sales: March 11 to March 31, 2024
Delivery of plants to your establishment: Mid-May to early June 2024
